Is Hypnosis Magic?

No.

One of my clients once said if you hypnotise me will all my negative thoughts just magically go away?

No.

I am not a magician, a necromancer, a sorcerer, nor a witch. I do not summon demons or take over control of your mind.

Some churches still disapprove of hypnosis as they think it is demonic. This is not the case.

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation. You feel like this just before you go to sleep or when focusing your concentration on something.

All hypnosis is actually self-hypnosis. You are in control. You are allowing it to happen to you. You are conscious throughout. You are not asleep. You are still in charge of the session. I am making suggestions which you can choose to act upon or not. If you don’t act upon them you won’t recover from whatever issue it is you have.

The power to heal yourself is within you.  You are tapping into your Higher Self which knows exactly what to do to heal you.

If a client has spiritual beliefs I sometimes call on the power of the universe to help them heal. If they are Christian I can use the Holy Spirit. If they have other beliefs I can refer to the power of nature, the spirit, the Light or angels. I work with your existing beliefs. You may prefer to just think of it as your subconscious mind or the force of Love. It’s up to you. You are in charge.

You are the expert on your own life. By changing your limiting thoughts and beliefs you can change your life but only you have the power to do it. You must make an effort to do this every day.

We are all on a journey of self-development. I am on it too. I have to continually remind myself of positive affirmations to stay on track. Sometimes I slip. Then I get back up again. I go on.

It’s not magic. It’s the power of your own mind.
