Hypnotherapy can work online. During the time of Covid-19 you may be wary of face to face contact with a therapist. This is understandable. The UK is now opening up to business again but many people still feel anxious about going out. The good news is you don’t have to. Hypnotherapy works just as well online as in person.
Hypnotherapy works effectively on Zoom. You just need to set up a Zoom account which is completely free. Then you can communicate through video chat with me. I can send you the consent forms through e-mail so that’s easy too. When it comes to the hypnosis part of the session there is no need for any physical touching. You take deep breaths and look up. Then you close your eyes and I count you down into a light trance. There is no need for deep trance states for hypnotherapy. It’s just a case of being totally relaxed like when you meditate or about to fall asleep. Your subconscious mind is responding to the sound of my voice. At the end of the session I count you back to full awareness.
What if the Internet Cuts Out?
This sometimes happens. I will just call you back up on Zoom again and we can restart. If you are in a trance state and you become aware my voice has gone just breathe deeply and open your eyes. This will bring you out of the trance state. Ground yourself by looking around the room. Find five things you can see, four things you can hear, three things you can touch, two things you can smell and one thing you can taste. This will help you come back to full awareness. You are always in control in a hypnosis session and you can end the trance whenever you want. Then wait for my call back.
Other Ways of doing Online Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy can aslo be conducted on Skype, FaceTime or even on the telephone. All you need is to be able to hear the sound of my voice and hypnosis can begin.
